<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is self-love?</h2>



<p>When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you know every blemish and wrinkle and wish you had a better face? While I do not think there is anything wrong with wanting the perfect hair and skin, self-love is the ability to look at yourself in the mirror and, despite imperfections, still love yourself and believe you are beautiful.</p>



<p>Loving ourselves starts with acceptance of who we are. Self-Love goes beyond how we feel about ourselves on the outside. We also have to accept and love who we are on the inside. Our upbringing or family dynamic can significantly impact how we feel about ourselves. Maybe we were told we were too quiet or spoke too loud. We may have heard you should be like your brother or your sister. Comments like those can cause us to doubt that we are individually just as great as the next person.</p>



<p>So, in short, what is self-love? It is the ability to love yourself for who you are inside and out despite your many flaws. In addition, because you appreciate and love who you are, you treat yourself with respect and continue to grow to be the best version of yourself. So, let&#8217;s see how you can start taking care of yourself with these six self-love exercises!</p>

<p>It&#8217;s easy to turn on the TV or social media and compare ourselves to celebrities or influencers. Marketing and propaganda can make you believe you are not pretty, have the proper body shape, or have the wrong skin color. Often you may wonder how I can accept myself. So how do you block it out and start loving yourself?</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">1. Don&#8217;t be afraid to say no.</h3>



<p>For some people, the two-letter word NO is effortless to use. But for others, it&#8217;s hard to say no to doing things that your friends and family may ask you to do. If this describes you, then it&#8217;s not necessarily a bad thing. It just shows you want to be there for those who you love and who love you. But what if someone asks you to do something harmful to you, or because you say yes all the time? They may start taking advantage of you.</p>



<p> That&#8217;s when it&#8217;s time to think about whether you should change some of those yes&#8217;s to no&#8217;s. It is okay to say no at times. It does not mean you are not a nice person. It just means you know your limitations and you value your time.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">2. Give Social Media a break.</h3>



<p>After looking at a post on social media, do you ever say to yourself, man, I wish my hair looked like that, or why can&#8217;t I be that skinny? If this is happening to you, it may be time to give social media a break. I find it helpful to unplug from social media every so often. I find myself thinking I need to buy more things to build a life I don&#8217;t want or need.</p>



<p>Contentment is vital and is part of self-love. That doesn&#8217;t mean we don&#8217;t need to do anything to enhance our beauty or the way we look. It just means we are happy and satisfied with who we are. So don&#8217;t let social media force you into following the crowd. Be who you are and build the life you want on your terms.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">3. Love who you are and Smile in the mirror</h3>



<p>At times it&#8217;s not easy to stare at ourselves in our birthday suits or without makeup on in the mirror. But when you look, how do you feel about what you see? It&#8217;s okay to say that you want to change how you look, but in that moment, what is the why behind those changes?</p>



<p>The why will help you determine if you need more self-love or if you love yourself but want to be healthier and happier.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">4. Don&#8217;t Compare Yourself to other people.</h3>

<p>With a busy schedule, finding some alone time may be challenging. However, setting boundaries and spending time alone can help you focus on your needs and reduce stress. Give yourself a treat and do activities you enjoy doing. If you love being outdoors, go for a walk or bike ride. <p>Spending alone time can also help you focus on things you want to change. This could be your finances, health, or career. First, meditate on what you can do to improve your life, and then use your alone time to work towards your goals.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">6. Start thinking positively about yourself.</h3>



<p>To start thinking positively about ourselves, sometimes we have to choose friends that make us feel good. Friends who are jealous and constantly put you down are not friends to you at all. Surround yourself with people who will speak positively about you, correct you when you&#8217;re wrong, and love you no matter what you go through.</p>



<p>Another part of thinking positively about ourselves is being grateful for what we have and the many positive aspects of our personality. Keeping a gratitude journal</a> will remind you of all the blessings and encourage you to look at the positive when feeling discouraged. You can fill your journal with love affirmations to help you remind yourself to think positively about yourself.</p>

<p>At the end of the day, practicing self-love and doing these self love exercises will help you to love ourselves and see that we are worth love, appreciation, respect, and every good thing that life can offer. Have compassion for who you are, and don&#8217;t be too hard on yourself when you make mistakes.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Practice Physical Self-Care? </h2>



<p>When I was younger, I would go to the gym often. It was a routine that helped me manage my stress and gave me some time for myself, which helped to improve my mood and energy. But as life goes on, finding the time to maintain your fitness and beauty routines can be challenging.&nbsp;</p>



<p>We all know how important it is for women (and men!) to take care of their emotional health and bodies by eating well, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep. However, sometimes, we need help! Here are some ways to practice physical self-care and start a care plan.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here are a few Care Activities to Help you get Started</h2>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Treat Yourself to a spa day.</h3>



<p>If you are like me, I often talk about taking a spa day, but most of the time, I never follow through. Even though a spa day at your favorite salon or spa can be expensive, it can help to improve your mental health condition. Taking time out of your busy schedule to disconnect for a moment will help you to relax and deal with any extra stress you may have. Here are a few ideas to get and stay mentally healthy:</p>



<ul>
<li>Get a massage. It’s a simple and effective way to reduce stress, lower blood pressure and boost mood. You can either go to a spa or find someone in your neighborhood who offers massages.<br></li>



<li>Make time for your favorite physical activity, like dancing or roller skating. Take yourself out on dates: See a movie or treat yourself to a fancy dinner at an upscale restaurant.&nbsp;<br></li>



<li>Eat healthy meals and snacks throughout the day instead of relying on convenience foods high in sugar, fat, and salt—making you feel worse than when you started!<br></li>
</ul>



<p>There are simple leisure activities that I like to do at home that also helps me feel like I&#8217;m giving myself a spa day on a budget. One of those is taking a hot bath. Add your favorite bath bombs, some excellent music, and a few candles, and you&#8217;ll have your little spa in your house.  Another one of my favorites when I&#8217;m feeling emotionally drained is making myself a hot cup of my favorite tea. Chop up some delicious fruit and add it to your tea. The smell is addicting, it&#8217;s suitable for your immune system, and the hot tea will instantly help you to relax. </p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Try new beauty products.</h3>



<p>Beauty products are often a great way to explore creativity and learn new things. You can try different types of products, techniques, styles, brands, colors, and fragrances. You could also look into treatments that improve your skin health.</p>



<p>The point is: that there are many ways to get creative with your beauty routine! The best part is that it&#8217;s all self-care—so go ahead and try something new today!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Start a beauty routine.</h3>



<p>You might think that looking after your skin is only for women, but men who want to look their best should practice regular skin care too. A few minutes of self-care each day can go a long way toward making you feel more confident and happy with yourself.</p>



<p>Start by washing your face with a warm washcloth or cloth to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. Avoid using hot water on your face, as it will dry out the skin and may cause redness and breakouts. Follow up with an astringent toner to close pores after cleansing (but be careful not to overdo it). Some of my favorite products are The Ordinary skin care products. They are cheap and produce excellent results.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Exercise regularly</h3>

<p>Exercise is a great way to care for yourself by improving your physical and mental health. Plus, it&#8217;s one of the best ways to get out of bed when you&#8217;re feeling blue!</p>



<p>Try taking a brisk walk during lunch break instead of eating at your desk. If walking doesn&#8217;t appeal to you, try going for a bike ride with friends or family members in an area with shops or restaurants. This way, everyone gets exercise while socializing at the same time!</p>



<p>You could also try jogging in place while watching TV at home after dinner instead of sitting around idly watching TV shows back-to-back. It’s a great way to work out but distract yourself simultaneously. One of my favorite channels on Youtube that I subscribe to is <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@growwithjo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@growwithjo</a>. Her workouts are fun and great for beginners.&nbsp;</p>



<h6 class="wp-block-heading">TIP: I would encourage anyone thinking about starting an exercise routine to consult a medical professional to be sure your health condition is where it needs to be before starting. </h6>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Manage your stress</h3>



<p>Stress is a normal part of life but can harm your health. If you find yourself feeling stressed out and emotional, try the following techniques:</p>



<ul>
<li>Take a break. Do something that relaxes you (e.g., reading a book or watching TV), or just go for a walk outside if you can get away from your desk.<br></li>



<li>Practice mindfulness and deep breathing exercises to help calm down when you feel overwhelmed by stress.<br></li>



<li>Talk to someone about what&#8217;s stressing you out—it&#8217;s easier said than done with many people, but this can be very helpful in working through difficult times and emotions with someone who understands what it&#8217;s like to deal with stress!<br></li>
</ul>

<p>Physical self-care is a concept that encourages individuals to practice activities that help them maintain their physical well-being. These activities may include eating healthy meals, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and drinking water.</p>



<p>It&#8217;s important to remember how much your mind influences how you feel physically. For example, feeling drained or in pain all day long can affect your overall well-being and ability to concentrate at work or school. Conversely, when we feel good about ourselves, we tend to feel better mentally too!</p>



<p>Keeping yourself healthy through regular exercise and good nutrition will give you more energy throughout the day. So if something negative happens, you&#8217;ll be able to handle things successfully.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Getting caught up in life&#8217;s day-to-day demands, whether work or family obligations, is easy. As a result, it&#8217;s common for people to neglect their emotional needs and well-being. But there are many ways we can improve our emotional health and keep ourselves feeling happier and less stressed daily. Here are 12 simple things you can do to start a care routine:</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Practice positive affirmations.</h3>



<p>Positive affirmations are statements you tell yourself to build positive thoughts about yourself. These can help you feel better about yourself, more confident, and in control of your life.</p>

<p>Identify the source of your stress. Stress is a natural part of life, but it can be debilitating if you don&#8217;t learn how to deal with it effectively. Is it from work? Are you having trouble sleeping? Do you have too many responsibilities on top of your job?</p>

This might mean taking five minutes away from work. Maybe sit down and eat lunch outside so there aren&#8217;t any distractions! Either way works just fine!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Acknowledge your shortcomings and forgive yourself for them.</h3>



<p>It&#8217;s okay to make mistakes. It&#8217;s okay not to be perfect. And you must forgive yourself for these shortcomings because self-forgiveness will help you become a more effective caretaker of your loved ones and yourself.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Find happiness in small moments.</h3>



<p>In every situation, look for the positive. Then, look for the silver lining and see how it can be a catalyst for growth.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Also, look at everyone (including yourself) with a positive lens: everyone has good qualities that make them unique individuals; everyone brings something—even if it is just their presence—to this world; everyone deserves love and compassion because they are human beings like us! <p>The important thing is that your routine meets your needs and gives you room for creativity and growth—not just because it&#8217;s another item on someone else&#8217;s list of &#8220;how-to be better.&#8221; If there&#8217;s something from this list that resonates with you but doesn&#8217;t fit into your current life, try adding just one small element at a time until it becomes part of your everyday life.</p>



<p>Take care of your physical health by eating better and getting more sleep (which helps support emotional health too).</p>



<p>Sleeping well is a crucial part of emotional self-care. An extra hour or two of sleep can significantly impact your mood, concentration, and energy levels—not to mention your physical health. <a href="https://www.thensf.org/sleep-facts-and-statistics/#:~:text=The%20National%20Sleep%20Foundation%20recommends,may%20need%207%2D8%20hours." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The National Sleep Foundation</a> recommends that adults get seven to nine hours of sleep per night for good health and performance.</p>



<p>If you&#8217;ve tried everything from counting sheep to relaxing music but still can&#8217;t fall asleep after 30 minutes or so at night, consider taking some time during the day to relax and unwind or starting a <a href="https://yourlovelyself.com/3-surprising-ways-to-boost-your-self-care-night-routine/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">self-care night routine</a>. <p>Sometimes it&#8217;s hard to put our needs first when we have others we want to care for. However, these care practices will help us be the best versions of ourselves, giving us a better chance to be there for our friends and family.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Are you feeling stressed and In need of a break? Self-care is something we tend to overlook. I bet you know that self-care is important, but when life happens, and other things take priority, your self-care routine gets pushed to the bottom of the list. Having the right life balance can be difficult if you have to work full-time and take care of your kids or other loved ones. Self-care isn&#8217;t selfish. In this post, we&#8217;ll go over 3 types of self-care that would benefit you.</p>

<p>When most people hear the term self-care, they immediately think of beauty products, getting a massage, or getting their hair and nails done. While those things are self-care practices, there is so much more to self-care. Let&#8217;s talk about the three most common types of care practices. </p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Physical Self-Care </h3>



<p>We all want to be beautiful, and our physical health is essential. We all want to wear a smile and a happy face because it makes us look good and feel great. But it also goes beyond this—it’s about taking care of your body and giving yourself the love you deserve. </p>



<p>If you’ve heard anyone say, “I feel like a million bucks,” then you know what I mean! That feeling is the best kind of high, but it can only come from taking care of yourself physically first before anything else. Often times we see beautiful people all over social media, but it&#8217;s essential to be careful not to compare yourself to influencers or anyone on social media. Remember, you are beautiful the way you are. Physical self-care is important because when we take care of ourselves, we are more confident, comfortable, and content about who we are.</p>

<p>How you choose to take care of yourself is entirely up to you. You can start by taking a few deep breaths, listening to a podcast or audiobook while getting ready in the morning, or even doing some light exercise before bed.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The important thing is that if you find something that works for you and helps keep those stress levels low, then keep on doing it! Remember, self-care isn&#8217;t selfish or self-centered; it&#8217;s about recognizing that we all need some TLC to be physically and mentally healthy.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How can you improve your mental wellness?</h2>



<p>Caring for your body is usually the first thing that comes to mind when considering well-being. However, other areas can be just as important. Today I want to mention some strategies college students use to improve their mental health and emotional wellness during the often stressful time of early adulthood. Here are just a few mental health activities.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Have a guilt-free bathroom break.</h3>



<p>A bathroom is a magical place. It&#8217;s the one place on campus where you can&#8217;t be bothered by your roommate or your professor. You can also avoid these people for 10 minutes, and that space is crucial for mental health.</p>



<p>So skip class if you need more than five minutes alone (or ask a friend to cover). And don&#8217;t feel guilty about taking the occasional bathroom break; you&#8217;ll get more work done when you&#8217;re less stressed!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Find a space to be alone.</h3>



<p>College is an insane time; sometimes, finding space for yourself in the madness is hard. You may find your mind constantly racing with thoughts about grades, friendships, and other people’s expectations.</p>



<p>So the solution is simple: Find a place where you can relax and be yourself without being judged by anyone other than yourself.&nbsp;</p>



<p>If you don&#8217;t have friends who understand your need, reach out to peers who have gone through similar experiences as you—they may not be able to empathize fully. Still, they&#8217;ll certainly understand what it&#8217;s like to keep up with everyone else&#8217;s demands on your time and energy.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Sometimes, the library isn&#8217;t the best place to study.</h3>



<p>The library can be a fantastic place to study, but it’s not always the best. For example, the library can be loud and busy, making it difficult for students to concentrate. Students also can&#8217;t concentrate in a dark, isolated environment with no stimuli around them.&nbsp;</p>



<p>It&#8217;s also essential for students to see what they&#8217;re reading or writing so they don&#8217;t miss any critical information, so good lighting is essential.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Finally, many distractions in the library include people talking or texting loudly on their phones while you&#8217;re trying to focus. So, have an alternate place you can study just in case.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Make time for friends.</h3>



<p>It can be hard to make time for friends when you&#8217;re busy with school, work, and extracurricular activities. However, taking time out of your week to spend an hour or two with people you care about is essential.</p>



<p>&nbsp;You don&#8217;t have to do much—sitting down and talking over coffee is good enough. If you don&#8217;t see your friends often enough, they might feel like second-class citizens in your life and stop being as supportive as they could be. Plus, it&#8217;s a great way to recharge!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Take time to appreciate your surroundings.</h3>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Reward yourself for good grades and getting out of bed that day.</h3>



<p>It can be easy to forget that it’s important to remind ourselves of the little victories in life. For example, when you are studying hard and putting in hours upon hours at the library, it is easy to forget why you’re doing this work in the first place.</p>



<p>&nbsp;Maybe you have a test coming up, or maybe you need some motivation to keep going. Either way, here are some rewards for when you achieve something:</p>



<ul>
<li>Treat yourself to an ice cream cone (or whatever else makes sense).<br></li>



<li>Watch a show on Netflix that isn&#8217;t homework-related (or get recommendations from friends!).<br></li>



<li>Spend time with friends and family who support your work ethic—or new people they introduced into their lives!<br></li>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Use positive self-talk to help you through stressful situations.</h3>



<p>Thinking positively when stressed can be challenging, but positive self-talk is essential to emotional wellness. This practice involves choosing to use certain words that positively describe yourself.&nbsp;</p>



<p>For example, if you&#8217;re feeling overwhelmed, saying things like &#8220;I am strong&#8221; or &#8220;I can handle this might be helpful.&#8221;</p>



<p>&nbsp;Positive self-talk helps people feel more confident and in control during challenging times by providing reminders about their strengths and abilities, which can help boost their mood and improve overall well-being.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Exercise, even if only for a few minutes at first.</h3>



<p>Exercise is a great way to relieve stress, and it&#8217;s easy to do at almost any age. If you&#8217;re new to exercise, start with something simple like taking a walk around the block or doing some stretches. It&#8217;s okay if you don&#8217;t want to be super active—the important thing is that you&#8217;re exercising more than you did before!</p>



<p>If it helps, set up a routine for yourself.&nbsp;</p>



<p>For example: &#8220;I&#8217;m going for an hour-long walk every morning when I get up.&#8221; If this isn&#8217;t feasible due to scheduling conflicts or other factors, try making exercise part of your daily routine by doing something simple such as walking upstairs instead of using the elevator whenever possible.</p>

<p>Self-care for men can be especially tricky, but I&#8217;m here to tell you that it&#8217;s essential—and not just for women! Self-care is a beneficial practice that all men should consider implementing into their everyday life. </p>



<p>It is a necessary part of living a meaningful life; through self-care, men can better understand themselves and their needs. So let us make a commitment to ourselves to stay kind, stay mindful, and stay strong. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">8 Men&#8217;s Self-Care Ideas</h2>



<p>Men need self-care, just like women do. Unfortunately, the conversation around self-care is primarily geared toward women, leaving men navigating a lack of resources. In this post, we will explore men&#8217;s self-care ideas that are easy to implement, budget-friendly, and tailored to the needs of men.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Talk to someone</h3>



<p>For many men, talking about their feelings is not a natural thing to do. But it&#8217;s important to talk about what&#8217;s going on with you for good mental health. There are lots of ways to do that:</p>



<p>Talking to a friend or family member &#8211; You can talk about how you&#8217;re feeling with a trusted person who will listen and care for you, even if they don&#8217;t understand precisely what it feels like for you. It might be helpful to find someone who has been through something similar in the past, such as losing an important person or having some other kind of painful experience.</p>



<p>They may not be able to explain why things happened the way they did, but they can still help make sense of things and give support along the way.</p>

Just writing down what happened isn&#8217;t enough, though – reading back over this allows us to reflect on our experiences from different perspectives, which helps us learn from them more effectively!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Do Care Activities You Enjoy</h3>



<p>Treat yourself and create a care routine. A care routine is just like it sounds—it&#8217;s a series of activities that help you take care of yourself every day and get enough rest and relaxation.</p>

<li>Watch a movie or TV show you’ve been meaning to catch up on.</li>

<p>Physical activity is excellent for your body and your mind. It reduces stress, boosts mood, and helps you sleep better at night. Try taking a run or a spin class on the weekend, hiking on the mountain with friends, or even playing golf with your dad or close friend.</p>

<p>Eating well is a crucial part of self-care for men. When you&#8217;re feeling exhausted, stressed out, and unable to cope with your emotions, it can be tempting to reach for junk food or caffeinated beverages. These bad choices will only exacerbate your stress and anxiety—not alleviate them. Instead, consider eating small meals throughout the day that incorporate healthy fats (like avocado), protein (like eggs), vegetables, and whole grains like oats or brown rice. These foods are suitable for both your body and mind!</p>



<p>Avoid sugary drinks like soda pop; instead, drink water with lemon slices or herbal tea instead—these beverages won&#8217;t cause spikes in blood sugar levels like soda does, which can make you feel tired after drinking them later on in the day.</p>



<p>Give yourself a break from alcohol. Alcohol is worth avoiding if possible because it has repeatedly been shown how addictive it can be. It can also impact your sleep and mood. </p>

<p>If you have sensitive skin, it&#8217;s essential to use hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and cruelty-free products. You can find these types of products at most major retailers. The number one rule for men&#8217;s skincare is to avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive scrubs, so you&#8217;ll want to look for gentle cleansers with natural ingredients like avocado oil or shea butter (for moisturizing), or oatmeal extract (that works as an anti-inflammatory).</p>



<h6 class="wp-block-heading">Daily routine For your face:</h6>



<p>Cleanse gently with a nonfoaming wash. Pat dry using a soft towel after washing your face morning and night. If needed, apply a toner containing salicylic acid or glycolic acid (exfoliating acids) once daily after cleansing but before applying moisturizer; this will help unclog pores while keeping them clean.</p>



<p>Once a week, apply an exfoliating scrub made with walnut shells or apricot seeds on wet skin in circular motions; rinse well afterward—you may wish to use witch hazel afterward as well, as it helps clear up any redness left behind from the scrubbing process (don&#8217;t overdo it). Then apply your favorite moisturizer liberally!</p>

<p>Go get a haircut at the barbershop. When your hair looks good, you feel good—but if you want to take it up a notch (and we think you do), it&#8217;s time to get a little bit more than just a trim. A deluxe wash and cut will leave your hair feeling great and smelling great, too!</p>

<p>In addition to ensuring you have people around you who care about your well-being, recognize that it&#8217;s just as important for them to know how they can help themselves when they need support.</p>



<p>If there are some specific ways that the friend or family member could make themselves feel better when they&#8217;re feeling stressed out, ask them about those things before ending the conversation so they&#8217;ll have something to go on later if it comes up again.</p>

<p>When you take care of yourself, it’s not just good for your mental health. It’s also good for your physical health, relationships, career, and finances. <p>Taking care of yourself isn&#8217;t a selfish thing to do—it&#8217;s a sign that you&#8217;re taking an interest in the well-being of others. By taking care of yourself and practicing self-care, you&#8217;ll be more able to give what you need to your friends, family, and loved ones. </p>

<p>We all know self-care is essential. How do we put self-care into practice? A <a href="https://yourlovelyself.com/product/selfcarewellnessplanner/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">self-care planner</a> can be an excellent tool for self-improvement because it helps organize your week, keep track of things, and make you more productive.</p>



<p>Self-care planning is a process that helps you identify the things that help you feel good and then establish a schedule for doing them. It&#8217;s also about figuring out what things make you feel bad and then making sure not to do those things.</p>



<p>Here are some planner ideas that will help you practice self-care!</p>

<p>Now that you know what self-care planning is and how to use your planner, it’s time to start creating your own. In this section, we&#8217;ve included ten ideas for self-care planning.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Track Your Water Intake.</h3>



<p>Keep a journal and track your intake in a diary.</p>



<p>Do you know how much water you drink each day? If not, tracking your intake can be the first step toward reaching your daily goal.</p>



<p>There are a few ways to keep track of your water intake:</p>



<p>-Keep a journal and track how much water you consume each day. This will help you see if you&#8217;re drinking enough water and what times of day you drink the most.</p>



<p>-Use Microsoft Excel to make a spreadsheet of your water intake. This will show you the amount of water that you&#8217;ve consumed for each day so far this month, which can help motivate you to stay on track with your goals.</p>



<p>-Download an app that logs each drink so that when it&#8217;s time for bed, all you have to do is look at the app to see if today was as successful as yesterday!</p>

<p>Once you&#8217;ve found your perfect journal, write down things that make you feel grateful. This list can include anything from &#8220;the sun&#8221; and &#8220;my dog&#8221; to &#8220;the fact that I wake up every day.&#8221; Then, each day (or every other day), write down one thing that made you feel grateful in your gratitude journal. You&#8217;ll find yourself feeling happier because of this small habit!</p>



<p>In addition to writing down things that make us happy, we should also think about what makes us unhappy or stressed out so we can avoid those situations. </p>

<p>Sleep has been proven to contribute to your mood by allowing your body and mind time to restore themselves after a busy day. It also helps prevent weight gain by balancing hormones that regulate appetite and cravings for high-calorie foods like junk food or alcohol (which is why many people who have trouble sleeping tend to gain weight).</p>



<p>By keeping track of when you go to bed at night (or wake up in the morning), you&#8217;ll be able to optimize your routine so that it works best with how much restful shut-eye you need each night without having any adverse effects on your mental health or physical wellness during the day!</p>

It doesn’t have to be an exhaustive list of everything you need to do in a week but instead gives you a place to record your goals and tasks so they remain visible throughout the week.</p>

<p>At the beginning of each week, fill out this page with three or four things that will improve your life (e.g., work on my website Monday morning; eat healthier Tuesday night; spend time with friends Wednesday afternoon). Then check them off when they are complete; don’t put anything on this page that doesn&#8217;t contribute directly toward improving your life!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Plan Your Meals.</h3>



<p>Planning your meals is a great way to ensure you eat the right foods. Planning meals for the week, month, season, and even year can help you stay on track with your goals. When it comes down to it, planning your meals is an effective way of controlling what you eat and when you eat it.</p>



<p>Planning allows us to make healthy choices about our food intake, which helps us lose weight or maintain a healthy weight level, decrease health risks associated with being overweight (such as heart disease) and live longer. Plus, having healthy meals ready to go saves time during busy mornings!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Create a Shared Family Calendar and Task System.</h3>
