Journaling helps me stay mindful of my own needs so that I don’t get caught up in other people’s needs and expectations and forget about myself. It helps me slow down long enough to recognize when something isn’t right in my life, or something is missing from what I’m doing—or both! And then it helps me figure out what to do about it.

We’ve all been there—you’ve spent hours writing down your thoughts and feelings, only to find yourself staring at an empty page when it’s time to write something new. Or maybe you haven’t even started because you don’t think your writing is excellent, or perhaps you don’t even know what kind of journaling practice would be right for you.
But we want to encourage you to give it another shot! Journaling can be a powerful tool for self-discovery. It is a great way to remind yourself of your goals and values over time. And if nothing else, it’s just plain fun!
